Principal's Message
Adelante High School provides an alternative educational setting for students who struggle in traditional educational programs. Our mission is to make graduation possible for students who would not graduate or would drop out under the traditional school system. At Adelante High School, we believe education is vital to our students’ future success. To that end, we are committed to providing our students every opportunity to succeed through smaller class sizes, more frequent interactions with their teachers and peers, strong academic counseling, and personal counseling through our school counselor, and school psychologist, when appropriate.
Students are given opportunity to grow both personally and academically. Goals are established for each student that lead either to the completion of a diploma program at Adelante with 200 credits, return to Riverbank High School, transition to an adult program, such as, Get That Diploma or Come Back Kids, or completion of the General Educational Development Test (GED). After graduation, many Adelante students attend community college, the military, or trade schools.
